Security - Products & Services Sentry View Systems, Inc. has released two new integrated systems designed to enhance remote surveillance and sensing capabilities. The SentryPOINT-HD (Portable Observation and Integrated Network Trailer - Heavy Duty) and, in beta form, the SentryPOWER APM-H (Advanced Power Module - Hybrid) are both advancements of technologies previously developed by Sentry View Systems. The SentryPOINT-HD is a ruggedized, mil-spec and completely self-energized portable surveillance trailer system that employs renewable solar and optional wind turbines, clean fuel cell or traditional generators powering a variety of cameras, radars and communications systems. The integrated telescoping mast allows operators to achieve great observation distance ranges and being that it’s quickly retractable. The SentryPOINT-HD can be repositioned as tactical or situational requirements change. This level of mobility can be accomplished in harsh and remote terrains because of the rugged durability of the underlying chassis. The modular nature of the platform also allows for a wide array of sensing and communications gear configurations and customizations based on mission and user requirements. The SentryPOWER APM-H is an intelligent power management and reporting (SCADA) system that takes multiple power generating sources such as renewable SentryPOWER-PV (solar) or SentryPOWER-SVT (spherical venturi turbine), fuel cells, generators or grid-based power and charges battery storage banks. In addition to the charge management functionality, the on-board processor monitors and reports via an IP based communications port system health and diagnostics and provides histograms to allow operators to have much more enhanced situational awareness of the health of their remotely powered systems. Sentry View Systems Releases Two New Remote Surveillance Technologies PureTech Systems, Inc. has integrated its PureActiv wide area surveillance solution with the MIC series 550 PTZ camera from Bosch. The integration includes PureTech’s PTZ auto follow capability and the ability to steer the camera from a map-based user interface. PureTech’s PTZ auto follow feature allows the MIC Series PTZ camera to follow a target automatically without any user interaction. Coupling PureTech’s absolute positioning capability with its geospatial aware video analytics enables the system to automatically steer PTZ cameras to the location of an intrusion detected by various PSIM sensors such as a radar, intelligent fence or fixed camera and then invoke the PTZ auto follow function. This ability to automatically follow the intruding target with PTZ cameras is intended to free up security personnel to focus on coordinating a response. Current PureActiv customers now have the the ability to add the Bosch MIC series 550 camera and these added control features to their perimeter protection suite. Facilities currently utilizing Bosch’s camera with another video management or NVR system can augment their systems with the PTZ auto follow capability through the use of an add-on server or edge device. MerlinCryption helps OEM developers master the risk of cloning, software compromise, physical machine compromise, and man-in-the-middle attack with an encryption solution platform, designed specifically for the embedded and M2M market. Named MerlinM2M, this solution delivers larger, dynamically changeable, scalable keys, a scriptable key and password generator, a parametercontrolled Smart-Encryption engine and flexible multi-factor authentication. A parameter-controlled key generator has the ability to initiate unpredictable and changing keys up to 2 GB, and proliferates available keys-for-use by multiple-factors of billions of keys. Each key exists only until encryption is complete, at which point the platform deletes the key and scrubs memory. Although keys can be massive, the platform realizes sub-second speed, working to leverage productivity and invulnerability in embedded environments. OEMs gain additional security benefit from the platform’s multi-factor dynamic authentication component, which is based on temporary factors, as well as known constant factors. Non-linear and environmental factors, not only expand developer options, but also provide the advantage to choose, change and increase or decrease these factors, on demand. The authentication incorporates an optional SHA-2 hash. The MerlinM2M platform is run by a scripted controller that essentially wraps the process into a tightly customized and impenetrable sequence of execution. User-defined scripts dynamically calculate and feed parameters to the algorithm, achieving encryption that cannot be predicted by hackers. The platform is secured by MerlinCryption’s algorithm, which is not based on mathematical technique and is not subject to statistical analysis. The encryption engine has the unique ability to produce a different encrypted transmission every time, even when the machine repeats the same data, key and password input. The encryption is HIPAA compliant, OFAC compliant and BIS/NSA approved for export. PureTech Systems Integrates Bosch MIC Series 550 PTZ Camera OEMs Prevent Cloning and Data Theft with Encryption Pelco by Schneider Electric has released its DX4700HD and DX4800HD series hybrid video recorders. The DX4700HD/DX4800HD series adds support for up to eight IP megapixel cameras on each HVR, in addition to eight or 16 analog cameras, for a total of 16 or 24 cameras. A powerful new processor supports up to 12 Mbps of bandwidth, while an improved graphics processor supports the display of 1080p HD video at the HVR. Both models record up to 30 ips on all channels, and the DX4800HD adds the ability to record full frame rate video at 4CIF resolutions for all cameras. Support for HD video at the server also includes the ability to mix analog and IP cameras when viewing live video, while an updated camera display gives users greater visibility to their entire environment. Users will also benefit from bidirectional audio for enhanced security, access to instant playback for quick investigative work, and the ability to capture and overlay ATM/POS text with video recording. With up to 8 TB of internal storage, the DX4700HD/DX4800HD series overcomes the high storage demands of megapixel and high-speed recording without sacrificing speed for resolution. H.264 main profile video compression means more efficient use of storage. Customers can readily expand storage with either JBOD or RAID-5 optional eSATA devices.
