SCADA Iconics has released GENESIS64 v10.7. The GENESIS64 automation suite is designed from the ground up to take advantage of 64-bit multiprocessing, multi-threading and 3D graphic hardware acceleration. GENESIS64, a HMI/SCADA solution based on open standards, integrates turbine, substation, smart grid, metering and business information into a high performance, real-time, distributed platform. The product is used in many related applications including warranty and asset performance verification, as well as systemwide monitoring and control. Users can create dazzling 2D and 3D visualization, distributed alarming, and data logging solutions for any wind or renewable energy application. GENESIS64 includes a set of time saving features such as smart symbols, wizards and auto configuration tools which reduce engineering and overall integration time. GENESIS64 has thousands of applications running on Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 and is now certified for Windows 8. Iconics Releases GENESIS64 v10.7 SCADA for Wind Energy GENESIS64 v10.7 extends the product further with time saving capabilities such as AssetWorX, FDDWorX, touch screen technology and PortalWorX SL. AssetWorX is an ISA95 intelligent asset technology that lets users define objects as assets and apply intelligence to these assets. Assets can be defined in accordance with wind turbine and substation models as defined by IEC61400 and IEC61850 standards. FDDWorX is a fault detection and diagnostics solution with advanced algorithms that analyzes, detects and predicts equipment and efficiency faults. When faults do occur, the system provides a list of probable causes with current estimated probabilities. ICONICS was the first to introduce multi-touch support in 2009 for SCADA and real-time manufacturing applications. Available with v10.7, new safe touch zones, pivot controls, multi-finger support and other multi-touch gestures extend the natural user interface in ways similar to that of smart phones and tablets. Lastly, PortelWorX SL is dashboard technology that delivers visualization to any Web browser. (Based on Microsoft Silverlight, PortalWorX provides customizable layouts, KPIs, charting, Excel grids, alarming, reports and many other dashboard Web parts.) engineering, business control and site logistics groups within the customer organization, and can drive OPEX cost savings through actively monitoring, analyzing and optimizing the performance of a single eSite through to an entire network of eSites. eManager works with eSite’s intelligent control system Diriflex to collect and analyze all relevant site data, storing it in a detailed energy data warehouse for benchmarking, trend and historical analysis, as well as realtime monitoring. eManager can then create any combination of standard or customized reports for any geographical region identifying key trends and opportunities for further optimisation. As a cloud based application, customers can access eManager via the Internet through a web browser on any standard computer. Alternately, if required, a server can be deployed at the customer’s premises. MicroStrain’s CSV Uploader for SensorCloud simplifies and streamlines access to cloud-based sensor data. Now users can drag-anddrop CSV files generated in Node Commander 2.6 directly into SensorCloud, without any outside intervention. The automated CSV Uploader enables quick and easy data visualization controllable sharing, and secure storage of any CSV file generated by the recently released Node Commander 2.6. Furthermore, a downloadable CSV Uploader template provides a standard formatting guide for users to import their own data. Starting a SensorCloud Basic Account is free and quick. Basic Accounts allows users to upload millions of data points per month, with unlimited total data storage. MicroStrain also offers premium and professional account options for more data, users logins and custom alerts. MicroStrain Introduces SensorCloud CSV Uploader for Simplified Sensor Data Importing to the Cloud Flexenclosure Launches Cloud-Based Toolbox for Green Telecom Site Monitoring Flexenclosure has launched eManager, a fully-integrated cloud-based solution providing a one-stop interface for remote management and energy optimization of eSite networks. eManager is used to optimize power for networks of Flexenclosure’s green power management system eSite. eSite is a single cabinet fully integrated energy system developed for powering both off-grid and bad grid base stations and is capable of delivering up to 90 percent savings on diesel-related operating expenses at telecom sites. Target sites for eSite with eManager are off-grid and bad grid base station sites. For these types of network, operators’ energy costs can often constitute 40 percent of their total OPEX. Coming as standard with eSite, eManager provides out-of-the-box functionality supporting the operations, GE Energy Management has released its Multilin Intelligent Line Monitoring System, an end-to-end overhead line monitoring solution with analytics that provide actionable intelligence to distribution utilities for improving reliability and efficiency of networks. GE’s solution enables utilities to maximize network throughput, reduce outage duration through accurate determination of fault location and optimize maintenance activities on assets when needed. “With increasing demands on the distribution network and the emergence of distributed generation technologies and electric vehicles, increasing the information available in an economical manner is the key to enabling greater improvements in distribution reliability and efficiency,” said Juan Macias, general manager of Grid Automation for GE Energy Management’s Digital Energy business. Installing GE’s Intelligent Line Monitoring System helps utilities solve multiple key challenges. This solution reduces network downtime by providing utilities with visibility of faulted and soon-to-be faulted circuits. The solution’s analytics allow utilities to dispatch crews effectively to address network disturbances. In addition, the system also dynamically rates the feeders to allow for maximization of throughput while helping ensure safety due to increased sag conditions.
