Security - Products & Services Hikvision Enriches its 2-Line HD IP Camera Portfolio with IR HD Mini Domes Hikvision is enriching its portfolio of 2-line HD network cameras with the introduction of its first IR mini dome IP camera series, the 1.3-megapixel DS2CD2512F-I(W)(S) and 3-megapixel DS-2CD2532F-I (W)(S). These compact models are the first to be equipped with IR functionality. They are also able to withstand a wide temperature range of -30°C to 60°C, and their housing is designed to fit in a wide variety of environments. These models are equipped with 10 pcs IR LEDs, offering an IR range of up-to 10 m, to produce clear vision even in night mode. With the latest 1/3 inch progressive scan CMOS, these models capture sharp and clear images at 2,048 by 1,536 (DS-2CD2532F-I (W)(S) model) and 1,280 by 960 (DS2CD2512F-I(W)(S) model) resolution for identification purposes. Moreover, both cameras even provide full HD 1,080p/HD real-time image performance. These models incorporate a switchable IR cut filter for true day/night operability and three-axis adjustment ability to allow users the ability to adjust their desired view. Additionally, they feature advanced image enhancement functionalities like DWDR, 3D DNR and BLC, to provide a clear preview even under challenging lighting conditions. Moreover, the low-profile design of the cameras' housing makes them well suited for applications where discretion is of the utmost importance. Wi-Fi models are also available featuring the latest wireless standards to bring ultimate data security levels and supporting WPS (Wi-Fi protected setup) functionality to simplify wireless installations. User can just push the WPS button on both devices to initiate an automatic wireless connection. Additionally, built-in SD/SDHC/SDXC card storage (with a total capacity of up-to 64 GB) ensures continuity during network disconnection. Also, a DI/DO interface is included for the user to connect to alarm devices for further security control purposes, as well as an inbuilt high-quality audio intercom allowing two-way communication. AFORE Unveils CypherX Cyber Security Solution for Cloud-Hosted Apps and VDI AFORE Solutions, Inc. has released the CypherX cyber security solution for virtual desktops (VDI) and cloud-hosted application platforms. CypherX allows enterprise and government organizations to meet stringent regulatory and compliance requirements, and eliminate the threat from a new breed of cyber attacks, while realizing the significant economic benefits of cloud computing. "Recent national security events, increased use of BYOD and compliance concerns such as new HIPAA regulations, are combining to significantly elevate the issues of cyber threats and data security," said Jonathan Reeves, AFORE's chairman and chief strategy officer. "CypherX enables organizations to leverage cloud platforms and hosted desktop virtualization services with complete confidence that their data will remain secure and inaccessible to unauthorized users, administrators and insider end-users who often pose the greatest risk to security." CypherX seamlessly and efficiently secures each individual application and its data, providing the highest levels of granular and persistent data protection, regardless of where the data resides or where it is sent. CypherX places applications in secure virtual containers, encrypting all data and managing access with granular trust policies. Data can only be decrypted by authorized users using certified applications on validated machines. CypherX renders data useless for cyber attackers, malicious insiders or cloud administrators, and protects sensitive data even when malware or advanced persistent threats (APTs) penetrate existing security perimeters. 26 www.RemoteMagazine.com CypherX includes App Lockdown, which creates a secure virtual container for applications, protecting network, storage and inter-process communications with application-level granularity. The CypherZones feature extends data security between groups of protected applications, allowing a complete application stack or workgroup environment to be protected. Additional features includes the APT Defender, and the CypherX Manager. Osram Dragon Dome Provides Long Distance Security Surveillance Security surveillance over large distances is now possible thanks to the infrared Dragon Dome LED from Osram Opto Semiconductors. The focused beam of this high-power Infrared LED (IRED) achieves a range of more than 100 meters. It has a compact design and does not need an external lens. With its wavelength of 850 nanometers (nm), this LED is well suited as a light source for security surveillance tasks such as Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). The Dragon Dome SFH 4783 is a high-power infrared LED that emits its light within a narrow angle of +/-12°. From a current of 1 A, it achieves a total radiated power of 430 milliwatts (mW) and, therefore, a radiant intensity of 2.3 watts per steradian (W/sr). At this radiant intensity, the beam of light will have a usable range of more than 100 meters, depending on the sensitivity and field of view of the camera. Radiant intensity is measured in W/sr and indicates the light output within a solid angle segment. The high total radiated power of this IRED is made possible by the thin-film technology, which enables the light to be extracted extremely efficiently from the chip. This high radiant intensity benefits all applications that need strong focused light to provide reliable illumination over large distances. With a wavelength of 850 nm, the emitted light is well suited to camera sensors but is barely perceptible to the human eye, enabling very discreet surveillance. Canon Launches S-Series of Compact Full HD Network Cameras with Built-In Analytics Canon USA, Inc. has added four full HD resolution network cameras to its product lineup, the VB-S30D PTZ, VB-S31D PT (pan-tilt), VB-S800D and VB-S900F Micro Box full HD network camera. The compact S-series network cameras have been designed for indoor environments that require sensitive monitoring of specific areas. PoE and ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) Profile-S Conformance allow system integrators easy installation of all four new lightweight full HD cameras as part of a new or existing security network. With high-sensitivity CMOS sensors, large-apertures, wide-angle lenses and dual DIGIC processors, the S-series cameras offer a combination of HD resolution, wide-angle of view and low-light performance. The S-series of network cameras features two processors, DIGIC DV III and DIGIC NET II, enabling all capturing, processing, encoding and transmitting of outstanding images with life-like colors and tonal accuracy, simultaneously in both H.264 and M-JPEG at 1,920 by 1,080 up to 30 frames per second. The processing architecture of the DIGIC DV III and DIGIC NET II processors, featured in the S-series cameras, has been engineered to deliver multiple H.264 and/or M-JPEG streams in a selection of resolutions. In addition to multi-streaming, the cameras can also do simultaneous streaming. The full range supports edge recording on microSD cards (up to 64 GB) and features a new utility that can playback directly from the microSD card without the need to download content to a PC first. All of the S-series cameras include Auto Smart Shade Control, which automatically selects the optimum exposure level and helps compensate for http://www.RemoteMagazine.com
