SignalFire New Firmware Adds AES-128 Encryption to its Wireless Remote Monitoring Product Line
Wireless monitoring and control systems must ensure the security of data as
it passes from device to device. To provide this high level of data integrity for
customers' critical processes, SignalFire Wireless Telemetry has released a new
version of their firmware that includes a suite of advanced security features.
AES-128 Encryption in the firmware supports a more reliable and secure wireless
network infrastructure within all its communication systems. The encryption protects against tampering as any modified data is invalidated and ignored.
Device Authentication ensures that nodes perform an integrity check before joining
the network. This prevents nodes from joining a rogue or malicious network that
would prevent them from communicating with their intended network. Additionally,
this process also allows only authenticated nodes to join the network.
Replay Prevention stops messages from being resent by a malicious device. It blocks security attacks if packets are captured
and retransmitted at a later time. For example, if a message to turn on a relay is captured and sent later, operations could be
at risk. SignalFire's replay prevention scheme is based on time synchronization of all nodes in the network and would not allow
this message to be accepted by the network.
Annke Releases 4 Megapixel HD PoE Security Cameras
Annke has released 4 Megapixel HD PoE security cameras with 4 Megapixel video quality, a variety of advanced functions
and favorable price. The 4MP cameras are currently available in the United States, and will be sold in Australia and Germany
in several weeks.
"Bosch, Samsung and Lorex released 4MP PoE security cameras a while ago, but these products are mainly applied in largescale commercial installs," says Annke president Jet Lee, "Annke 4 MP products, however, will mostly target at the residential
and small-scale commercial markets. These cameras share the same image quality with the other brands and the price is 50
percent less."
Annke 4 MP PoE security cameras are developed with a
variety of advanced functions. The cutting-edge H.264+ video
compression technology saves 70 percent of the transmission bandwidth and much hard disk space than normal H.264
technology. The true 120 dB WDR ensures crisp images by
balancing the lights, no matter it is in overexposed or underexposed light situations. Smart search function makes it a
breeze to locate missing stuff in no minutes. Plus more features like, remote access on mobile devices, region of interest
setting to save bandwidth and hard disk space, Power over
Ethernet (PoE) technology to avoid complicated wiring issues
and much more.
