Longtime wine columnist for El Mercurio in Santiago, Chile, Patricio
Tapia publishes Descorchados, an annual guide and website dedicated to South American wine. We asked Tapia to research a story on
Mendoza malbec that didn't involve grilled meats, and he turned up
a new cookbook by Emma Zuccardi, her first, at the age of 93. Tapia
heads to Emma's Kitchen, which is also the name of her book, a
chronicle of her and her husband's lives as vegetarians in the land of
malbec and asados (p. 30).
