its archive and retrieve solution,
Project Parking at BVE. The
Interplay Orphan Crosschecking
(IOC) functionality was also shown
for the ﬁrst time in the UK. This
provides veriﬁcation of orphan
material when working with Avid
Interplay, opening the solution
up to more customers who rely
on Interplay MAM operating in
tandem with ISIS workspaces.
Project Parking also now includes
AMA content support. Marquis also
previewed Version 4 which is to be
ofﬁcially launched at NAB.

keynote sessions at BVE 2015.
In Director's Cut - Finding Inspiration
In Britain in the 4K Theatre, Hardwicke
shared her positive experiences
of shooting her latest feature, the
forthcoming Miss You Already, in the
UK.
Hardwicke has been vocal in her
admiration of London and the UK as an
excellent place for ﬁlm production.
The Wednesday keynote session
examined the value that the UK offers
as a production hub for a global ﬁlm
industry and how Miss You Already
- with an international cast, a British
writer and crew - reﬂects the growing
multinational nature of British cinema.
The discussion also revealed insights
into Hardwicke's experiences as a
woman in a global industry, in her
varied ﬁlm career as a director,

production designer, producer and
writer.
Hardwicke, who has directed
Twilight, Thirteen and Red Riding
Hood, has recently dived into the world
of television, directing for AMC and
pilots for CBS and MTV, both of which
have gone to series.

Conversation With Richard Ayoade.
Award-winning Writer, Director
and Actor, Ayoade's feature ﬁlm
directorial debut Submarine premiered
at Toronto Film Festval in 2010, and
won Best Screenplay at the British
Independent Film Awards.
The session was chaired by writer
and actor Adan Buxton.

Vision Mixer Debut

GBR: Cambridge Imaging Systems
(CIS) presented Imagen version 3.5
at BVE.
CIS Managing Director Tom Blake said:
"When it comes to content, there are
two key problems facing the broadcast
industry today: how to centrally
manage and archive the enormous
amounts of video... and how to provide
your audience with access to that
content in a cost effective and efﬁcient
way."
Blake said that Imagen answered these
issues by providing a long-term archive
for media while simultaneously making
it available to staff and customers
online.
Imagen v3.5 gives full control of the
user experience with WYSIWG page
editors and a range of widgets.

GBR: Attendees at BVE saw
broadcast solutions from Grass Valley
including the ﬂexible and upgradable
LDX Series Cameras; the modular
Karrera Production Switcher; and
the innovative touchscreen K2 Dyno
Replay System.
On show was GV's iTX Integrated
Playout Platform providing IT-based,
automated playout for multiformat
content delivery; and GV STRATUS,
which manages entertainment, onair operations and news production
media workﬂows.
GV also demoed its Kaleido
Multiviewer that offers high picture
quality and layout ﬂexibility; and its
feature-packed NVISION Routers that
range from compact utility routers to
enterprise-class routers.

GBR: At BVE 2015, FOR-A will present
the 2 M/E HVS-2000 vision mixer.
Allowing up to 40 SDI inputs and 22
outputs, the easy-to-use HVS-2000
vision mixer runs on what has been
dubbed a V6 HVS2K engine, ready
for SD, HD, Full HD (3G) and 4K
production.
The HVS-2000 features MELite, which
transforms a traditional AUX bus into a
functional M/E with cut, mix, wipe and
key control.
FOR-A say that this provides the HVS2000 with the production capabilities
of a fully functional 6 M/E switcher.
Another feature that provides additional ﬂexibility is FLEXaKEY, which
adds and moves key and DVE layers to
traditional M/E resources or to MELite
resources.
