With portable 6K and 8K digital
cinema cameras now becoming more
readily available, field production can
generate staggering amounts of data
- all of which needs to be archived
on-site before being transferred to the
studio for editing and finishing.
But the mobile computers used
for this purpose have traditionally
provided limited performance, along
with connectivity options that fail
to meet the bandwidth needs of the
UHD formats now in use by media
professionals.
Additionally, there is a need to
connect mobile computers to highperformance networks
and storage to facilitate
extended, collaborative
workflows.

devices for data migration between
field and studio.

devices, a single Thunderbolt cable can
provide connectivity to 10Gb Ethernet,
16 Gb Fibre Channel, 6Gb SAS, and

external GPUs.

Artel's Fiberlink Six-Channel HD/SD/ASI Multiplexers

and tagging capabilities to manage
video and Ethernet data streams for
subsequent routing across networks.
Dual-Port L-Band Demodulator -
Artel will feature DigiLink's new dualport L-band demodulator. Capable
of receiving up to two L-band signals
and converting them to DVB-ASI for
transport, this module also supports
ETSI TS 103 129 carrier ID monitoring.
DL4120 Chassis - At CCW 2015,
Artel will feature the DL4120 Chassis
with integrated 20 x 20 3G routing,
Ethernet switching, and chassis
management capabilities.
Fiberlink Six-Channel HD/SD/ASI
Multiplexer - At CCW 2015, Artel will
showcase the Fiberlink six-channel
HD/SD/ASI multiplexer.
This TX/RX pair of 1RU chassis
aggregates up to six asynchronous

HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and DVB-ASI video
feeds into a single wavelength for
transport across fibre or managed
optical networks, and requires no
configuration.

DNF Controls
Returns To CCW

NF Controls - an award-winning
and an acknowledged leader in
Human-to-Machine and Machine-toMachine interfaces - will preview new
versions of their popular AnyWhere
Interface Box (AIB) range to CCW
attendees.
The units are crafted to meet the
rigorous demands of live sports and
similar remote broadcast applications.
The AIB system, along with several
other new and updated products, will
be shown in DNF Controls' booth at
CCW.
The enhanced AIB series provides up
to 16 GPI inputs and 16 GPO outputs in
a 1 RU frame. Multiple control paths
- Ethernet, a two-way audio channel
or plain old telephone line (POTS) -
maximise operational flexibility at
the remote broadcast site for control
and monitoring of local and remote
devices.

Also on display, the next generation
of DNF's Universal Switch Panel (USP3)
featuring individually configurable
button
functions
and
display
characteristics.
