LAUNCH GRADE 10: SPEAK UP! lesson 11: managing your test-prep time outcome: Students analyze their time management and set goals for test preparation in their everyday schedule. OBJECTIVES * Evaluate how they spend their time. * Prioritize their daily responsibilities. * develop a daily schedule that includes test prep. * identify strategies that will allow them to manage their time more effectively. * discuss the benefit of studying for a test over time, instead of cramming. ASSESSMENT * " Managing Your test-Prep time " worksheet * Reflection MATERIALS NEEDED * Chart paper and markers * Scissors for each student (optional, if you choose not to cut the 24-Hour cards out before class) * 24 Hour cards, one full set for each student * Crayons, color pencils, or markers for each student * " Managing Your test-Prep time " handout PREPARATION * make one copy of the 24-Hour cards set for each student. You can either cut them out for students before class, or have students do it themselves during class. * label two pieces of chart paper - one will be " Everything We do in a day " (this is for the motivation) and the other will be " Time management Strategies " (this is for the Whole Group discussion). lesson outline 1.
