Students will need their actual score reports for the activities in this lesson. If score reports are not yet available, you can hold off on this lesson until later in the year, or you can use the Diff erentiation Suggestions given to have a more general debrief and planning session. * Be sure you understand how to read a score report before beginning the Direct Instruction. * Review student score reports in advance of class and choose one or two talking points to discuss with each student individually during the Independent Practice. * Photocopy the rubric. * If there are opportunities in your community for free or reduced-price SAT or ACT tutoring, have information available for students to use during the Independent Practice. * Create a schedule for individual student check-ins that will allow you to meet with each student individually.
