very outdated materials. In this case,
new countertops, sink, faucet, and
tile backsplash can make a tremendous
change to your kitchen without
breaking the bank. To take it a step
further, you can consider painting
your existing kitchen cabinetry and
changing the hardware, and you will
end up with what looks like a brand
new kitchen. An often overlooked element
to an existing kitchen is lighting,
and adding some additional recessed
lighting or under-cabinet LED lighting
to your partial kitchen renovation can
be a tremendous upgrade. Just keep
in mind: you will still be investing a
significant amount of money into your
kitchen and existing cabinetry, so
make sure that you are comfortable
with this plan long-term.
Another challenge might be that you
are in desperate need of a kitchen
renovation to make improvements to
the layout and storage of the space,
but you also need new flooring. You
might have an open concept house,
and you really want new flooring
throughout the entire space. This
could be challenging cost-wise, but it
also might be challenging just due to
the potential interruption to the entire
first floor that you just aren't quite
ready for. With the popularity of LVP
floating wood-look flooring, you might
be able to plan this in two stages, if
you take the appropriate steps. Since
LVP floating flooring is not installed
underneath your cabinetry, you could
renovate your entire space and make
the necessary changes, and have it
work with your existing flooring. Later,
you might decide to then have the
entire first floor re-done with new LVP
flooring. In this case, you would want
to make sure your contractor understands
your future goals, as the new
cabinetry can be installed in a such
a way that you do not lose cabinet
and countertop height when the new
flooring is installed. You might even
consider buying color-matched trim
for your cabinetry, which you then put
in storage until it is needed as part of
the flooring installation.

specific areas one at a time, renovations
should to be planned carefully.
