Silent Samaritan Celebration -
Here for Hope and Healing
Silent Samaritan Celebration and Thanks Giving Luncheon was held on
Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Calvary Church in Lancaster. We are very thankful for
the more than 300 Silent Samaritans who raised almost $55,000 to help women who are
seeking counseling or other mental health and wellness services. The luncheon program
was titled the " The Art of Resilience & Grit " and our keynote speaker Timbrel Chyatee
would have been a very intriguing speaker to hear, but unfortunately Timbrel needed
emergency appendectomy surgery the morning of the luncheon. She is well now, but
this was not part of the program! Fortunately, Rebecca Hanlon, the daughter of one of
our employees at the Center, was able to stand in at the last minute and provided a very
inspiring, thoughtful message. We were all very impressed with her Resilience & Grit!
We thank all the women who invited their friends to join the Silent Samaritans this
Our 27th
year. These women have joined a remarkable group who are focused on helping women
who seek counseling and other mental health services at a time and place in their lives
when they cannot afford it. We also thank all of our sponsors from our 2022 luncheon,
including: Tiger's Eye, Everence Financial, Listrak, Inc., Atwater Malick, Bertz Hess &
Co. LLP, Lancaster Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, The Groffs Family Funeral &
Cremation Services, Inc. and Matthew 25 Thrift Shop.
