Include Samaritan Center
in Your Legacy Giving
Include Samaritan in Your Will or Trust
Consider naming Samaritan Center
in your will or trust. This type of gift can
be a specific dollar amount, a percentage
of your estate, or Samaritan Center can
be named as a remainder of your estate
after all specific bequests are fulfilled. If
your estate is subject to estate tax, your
generous gift is entitled to an estate tax
charitable deduction for the gift's full
value.
Charitable IRA Rollover
If you have an Individual Retirement
Account (IRA), you are likely familiar
with the requirement that you must
withdraw a certain percentage from your
account beginning at age 73. For those
aged 70 ½ and better may consider an
IRA charitable rollover (up to $105,000
in 2024) to a qualified charity and not
have that transfer count towards their
taxable income in the same year that
they made the charitable gift. Charitable
rollover amounts could count towards the
client's required minimum distribution.
As always, we strongly encourage you
to consult your accountant or financial
consultant for specific information
about any potential strategies for your
personal situation. If you would like
to learn more about planned giving or
if you have any questions, please reach
out to Anita Hanna, Samaritan Center's
Director of Development, at ahanna@

Why
Silent Samaritans?
Research has shown that there are significant differences between genders when
it comes to mental health issues and care.
Women often navigate unique mental health challenges due to biological
factors, societal expectations and pressures, life transitions, hormonal changes,
reproductive challenges, and so much more. Women are twice as likely to
experience depression, trauma, generalized anxiety and panic disorder, phobias, and
eating disorders.
But therapy can help. Therapy for women is Empowering AND Important.
And when a woman asks for help, she should be able to receive it. Every time.
The Silent Samaritans were created to help raise funds to support the needs of
women in our community who seek counseling services but are unable to afford the
full fee for therapy. Every year, the Silent Samaritans help raise funds through the
Silent Samaritan Luncheon to help these women in need in our local community.
Please join us for this year's Silent Samaritan Luncheon. We are Women
Helping Women with their healing journeys.
