Samaritan Welcomes New Therapists
Judy Jakubowicz, MA, LPC
Judy, a licensed professional counselor, brings over 30 years
of behavioral health experience. She holds a Bachelor's degree
in Social Work and Psychology from La Salle University along
with a Master's degree in Mental Health from Lancaster Bible
College. Judy works extensively with clients experiencing
symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD and emotional
dysregulation.
Her practice also serves individuals with life transitions, selfesteem
issues, and marriage and family diffi culties. Judy's clinical
practice varies by client need. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Structures Therapy and a
spiritual guidance approach. Judy is passionate about helping individuals navigate
their challenges by providing the tools to build resilience.
She utilizes strength and evidence-based strategies that motivate and empower
growth to sustain change. Judy fi rmly believes that intervention can make a
difference and should be available to everyone for optimal function. Her practice
is as a judgment-free space that encourages clients to grow emotionally and
cognitively.
Carolyn Rittenhouse, MSW
Carolyn Rittenhouse earned both a Master of Social
Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from
Millersville University. She participates in the MSW to
LCSW Residency Program under the supervision of Samaritan
Counseling Center Executive Director Steven Schedler, LCSW,
CAADC, CCS. Carolyn facilitates healing for adolescents and
adults experiencing a variety of challenging life issues including
grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use and
cross-cultural relationship issues.
She also specializes in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds in
both individual and group therapy environments. Carolyn utilizes strength-based,
person-centered cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational
interviewing approaches. Her practice integrates spirituality, openness,
collaboration and humor. This creates an amenable, sacred and safe atmosphere
that promotes personal growth and healing.
