CLERGY GROUPS Feeling isolated as a pastor in leadership? Joining a clergy group can provide support and care to help you in your unique leadership role. What do clergy groups look like? Clergy groups at Samaritan are ecumenical, with the goal of promoting collegial support for pastors and clergy. They are facilitated by leaders who have served within congregations and who also have training in organizational systems and dynamics. Samaritan can also provide facilitation of an assembled group of 3 to 6 participants, should you have a group gathered and are looking for facilitation. The types of clergy groups tend to fall into two categories: Soul care, which provides support, encouragement, challenges, mirroring, and ministry and care for pastors and clergy. Focused groups, which hone in on a particular goal or areas, such as improving leadership skills or women in ministry. 30
