Called Assured CAV (connected/ automated vehicle), it is scheduled to formally open in March 2021. The new complex is designed to cover multiple autonomous vehicle (AV) validation, verification and research, ranging from high-speed, at-the-limit controllability on its highway system, to automated valet parking in a multi-story facility. Its city section offers urban and suburban environments. There is a 5G mobile private network supported by Vodafone, an extensive digital replicas portfolio to help enable scaled technology, and robotic targets and junction layouts to meet ADAS protocols. The Assured CAV facility has been designed to incorporate Horiba MIRA's new Assured CAV cover wide scenarios including high speed and lower speed urban routes.
