Multi-gigabit Ethernet compliance test solution
TekExpress from Tektronix Inc.'s (Beaverton,
Ore.) multi-gigabit automotive ethernet compliance
test solution is designed to meet the requirements of
complex automotive designs. As an automated compliance test application, TekExpress allows for quick,
accurate and reliable validation and debugging for multi-gigabit Ethernet chipsets and
electronic control units (ECUs) to meet physical media attachment (PMA) transmitter
measurement requirements for up to 10 Gb/s. The fully automated compliance test solution fits with the current version of the IEEE 802.3ch MultiGBASE-T1 specification. Part of
its family of automated compliance solutions for automotive Ethernet, working seamlessly with Tektronix oscilloscopes. This new application enhances Tektronix's existing
in-vehicle network solution offering of 10BASE-T1S, 100-BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1 compliance testing applications for automotive Ethernet standards.

Expanded development platform
BlueBox 3.0 from NXP Semiconductors (Eindhoven,
The Netherlands) is a new and expanded version of
NXP's flagship safe Automotive High-Performance
Compute (AHPC) development platform. Designed
for software application development and validation
ahead of silicon device availability, BlueBox 3.0 provides a flexible way to address user-defined vehicles,
safety Level 2+ (L2+) automated driving and evolving vehicle architectures for connected vehicles. By combining in a centralized compute module, safe integrated high-performance NXP processors, expanded I/O connectivity and extensions with Kalray's MPPA
processor-based PCIe cards enabling heterogeneous acceleration, the development
platform offers designers a solution that can accelerate system development cycles and
speed time to market. BlueBox 3.0 doubles the processing performance from the previous generation by leveraging NXP's 16-core Layerscape LX2160A processor.

Automotive radome tester
The Rohde & Schwarz (Munich, Germany) enhanced
R&S QAR quality automotive radome tester is a tailored solution for radar integration testing that analyzes and evaluates the radar compatibility of radomes and bumpers. With the new R&S QAR-K50
single-cluster measurement software, OEMs and
Tier 1 suppliers can achieve measurement results very close to those obtained with a
vector network analyzer (VNA) and a quasi-optical (QO) setup, but in a nondestructive and 2-dimensional way. In addition, users benefit from the intuitive R&S QAR
operating concept. The R&S QAR mmWave imaging system is a suitable tool for applications ranging from development and production to verification of radome material and integration of 76 GHz to 81 GHz radars.

Augmented Reality

Panasonic Automotive's (Peachtree
City, Ga.) Augmented Reality (AR) HUD
system projects 3D, AI-driven key information into the driver's line of sight to
help reduce driver distraction and potentially increase safety on the road.
The system uses Panasonic's latest in
optics, volume optimization and imaging technology combined with AI technology from its SPYDR cockpit domain
controller to render near-field and farfield content for vehicle information,
object and pedestrian detection, and
mapping/route guidance, for a seamless, more engaged and informed driver experience. The AR HUD development uses a PRIZM process to address
all aspects of users' needs: Precise
placement - Optimal image positioning; Reflection - AI smart optical
graphic road overlays for object/sign
detection; Intuitive - Discriminates/
prioritizes user focus on what is ahead;
Zonal- UX optimized field-of-view organizationally displays objects along
the road and Mission Control -
Dynamic imaging that brings visibility
and the roadway together.
