California) announced its CV2FS
automotive AI perception system-on-chip
(SoC) achieved
ASIL C certification. The CV2FS
reportedly was designed with
Ambarella's algorithm-first approach
to provide an AI SoC that
is tailored for forward-facing
monocular and stereovision
ADAS cameras, as well as computer
vision ECUs for L2+ and
higher levels of autonomy, AI acceleration in automotive domain
controllers, electronic mirrors with blind-spot detection
(BSD) and interior driver and cabin monitoring (DMS and
OMS) systems. Ambarella also provides a unified software
architecture across its entire CVflow SoC portfolio. This enables
automotive Tier-1s and OEMs to preserve software-development
investments while expanding their product lines
with additional safety features.

Ceramic capacitors
Murata (Smyrna,
Georgia) announced
the NFM15HC435D0E3,
an automotive-grade,
three-terminal
multi-layer ceramic
capacitor (MLCC) to
provide a capacitance of 4.3 μF in a 0402-inch (1.0 × 0.5
mm) package. Murata states that the capacitor delivers
superior power decoupling and noise removal, which are
significant benefits when designing for mobility applications
such as advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS)
and autonomous-driving functions. By featuring a
three-terminal arrangement, Murata claims their capacitor
exhibits lower equivalent series inductance (ESL) than
two-terminal components. The NFM15HC435D0E3 also
enables reduced impedance in the high frequency band
thanks to utilization of far fewer components.
