NXP Semiconductors (Novi, Michigan)
released the latest member of its scalable
S32R radar processor family. The
S32R41 reportedly is tailored to support
L2+ autonomous driving solutions and
high-resolution corner and front-facing
long-range radars. The NXP S32R41 radar
processor also meets the needs of
77-GHz radar applications, not only for
high-resolution long-range radar applications,
but also for advanced corner-radar
applications for passenger vehicles
as well as commercial vehicles. The architecture
supports up to functional
safety level ASIL-D according to ISO
26262 and creates an optimal processing
chain with high-performance SPT
(Signal Processing Toolbox) and
Cadence BBE32 DSP radar processing
accelerators.

Diodes Incorporated (Plano, Texas) announced its
new PI3DBS16222Q four-channel differential exchange
switch. The company states that this switch
provides a performance-optimized multiplexing
solution and is targeted for automotive infotainment,
telematics, SATA 3.0, SAS 3.0 and ADAS systems.
The PI3DBS16222Q is automotive compliant
and reportedly enables 2x2 differential multiplexing
at speeds of 20 Gbps, and supports USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCI Express 4.0, and 10GBASEKR
standards. Diodes Inc. states that the device leverages a proprietary design
technique, enhancing its dynamic electrical characteristics. This delivers low insertion-loss
(-2.0 dB at 10 GHz typical) and crosstalk (-17 dB at 10 GHz typical) figures,
ensuring high signal-integrity levels. In addition, the device attains a 10ps bit-to-bit
skew and a low return-loss.

Central domain controllers
Ambarella (Santa Clara, California) and
Hyperview (Shanghai, China) announced
that Hyperview has selected Ambarella's
CV3-AD family of AI central domain controller
SoCs to develop driving platforms.
The focus of this development will be on pairing CV3-AD SoCs with Hyperview's
software stack to provide production-ready perception as well as automated-driving
and parking solutions in autonomous-driving systems. Hyperview states that its
hardware software algorithms integrate with Ambarella's scalable CV3-AD family of
AI central domain controller SoCs. This combination reportedly enables implementation
of high-level autonomous-driving systems and applications.

Multilayer chip
TDK Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) announced
its new MPZ2520SPH series
multilayer chip bead for automotive power
supply lines. The MPZ2520SPH series
is rated at 12 A and measures only 2.5 x
2.0 x 0.85 mm (0.10 x 0.08 x 0.03 inches).
The chip is intended for automotive EMC components. The company claims
that using a single MPZ2520SPH saves mounting space over equilivent solutions.
TDK also states that the serial configuration of a single product helps stabilize the
applied current and that the pattern configuration and the use of optimum materials
achieves a very high current rating in a compact size.
