The Electrified G80 features the latest technologies, especially in the area of sustainability. Genesis sourced various natural or
recycled materials for its interior, such as leather with natural dyes for the seats, console, and rear seat armrest; eco-friendly
natural wood trim with recycled wood; and environment-friendly, recycled PET fabrics.

for the Genesis eG80
The shift toward electric vehicles is gaining
pace to address carbon neutrality and other
environmental concerns. In the transition
from internal combustion engines to
electric and hydrogen electric vehicles,
noise and package restrictions are among
the challenges.
A group of researchers at Hyundai Motor
Co. set their attention to seat ventilation.
Their solution is a dual-blower system that
features separate vents in the cushion and
seatback.
As described in their WCX 2023 technical
paper, " Next Generation Seat Ventilation

System for Genesis EV, " the researchers designed
a new structure for connecting the
intake duct and a seatback blower. This
solves the temperature-drop performance
issue by removing residual heat from the
seat and introducing cabin air directly.
The dual blowers also reduce rpm, thus
reducing high-frequency noise.
An integrated controller was also
developed to control the seat warmer and
ventilation system, with a smart control
function added to respond to vehicle speed
and ventilation time based on customer
usage. As a result, this new ventilation
