industry to develop global standardization.
We are honored to have the first AAM
participant recognized by the organization

The SAE Aerospace Council oversees a
dynamic program of more than 180
standards technical committees, which
maintain over 7,800 active consensus
standards, material specifications,
recommended practices and information
reports. Recently, the council has approved
new committees and steering groups in the
areas of AAM, certification of flight deck
equipment, certification of processintensive
materials, and advanced
manufacturing.
Also joining the Council are two industry
leaders:
* Barrie Hicklin, senior director, quality, for
Honeywell Aerospace. Hicklin brings 33
years of global leadership experience in
regulatory, quality and aftermarket
operations and plays a critical role with
the SAE ITC Aerospace Engine Supplier
Quality Group (AESQ), the International
Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and
SAE G-22 Committee. He is responsible
for the Honeywell Aerospace Quality
Management System and digital tools,
regulatory production approvals, thirdparty
certifications for AS9100 and
Nadcap processes, as well as the internal
UPDATE
audit program at site, Op Center, and
Aero corporate level, FOD and
Counterfeit Parts programs, and relations
with DCMA and national aviation
authorities worldwide.
* William (Bill) Greene, director,
commercial engine airworthiness and
regulatory affairs at Pratt & Whitney
(P&W), part of the Raytheon Group
(RTX). Greene has over 30 years'
experience in positions of increasing
responsibility in engineering and is
responsible for evolving and integrating
P&W's certification and safety processes
across the engineering erganization for
Pratt & Whitney, including ODA and SMS.
He engages and interfaces with
regulatory authorities and customers
worldwide and holds several U.S. patents.
David Alexander, senior director,
standards, at SAE International said: " SAE
