STUDENT GENERATION Like a fish out of water. As schedules changed, so too did the abilities of every VTM engineer. Each team member became more well-rounded and possessed a greater understanding of the vehicle and processes needed to take it from billet to 80 mph. This overlapping of designers allowed the team to make design finals in the IC competition for the first time in over a decade. HARD-EARNED SKILL SETS At both IC and EV competitions, the team knowledgably presented each of the cars' systems and described how they coalesced into two high-performance vehicles. At this point, troubleshooting and problem solving had become second nature to the VTM engineers, as each was aware of how a system affected the whole vehicle and vice versa. This successful collaborative design and manufacturing effort introduced many team members to hard skills they never would've learned alone.
