Microcontroller Optimizes
Embedded Control Systems
Actuator Control Provides
Real-Time Monitoring
Thomson Industries introduced its
Microchip Technology offers the
PIC16F13145 family of microcontrollers
(MCUs). Outfitted with a new Core Independent
Peripheral, the configurable logic
block (CLB) module, the MCUs enable the
creation of hardware-based, custom combinational
logic functions directly within
the MCU. Because of its integration into
the MCU, the CLB allows designers to optimize
the speed and response time of
embedded control systems, eliminating
the need for external logic components
and reducing power consumption.

Electrak XD actuator that can manage dynamic
loads up to 25,000 N with a performance
duty cycle up to 100%, strokes up
to 1,200 mm (47.2 inches) and speeds up
to 75 mm/s. The XD also features a suite
of built-in features, which include an internal
load holding brake, an optional manual
override and a manual release option
that allows for load disengagement without
requiring power. The XD is equipped
with control features that provide realtime
monitoring and diagnostics of speed,
position and applied force, enabling designers
to streamline system design.
EV-Battery Adhesive is FlameRetardant
Delo
has developed an EV-battery adhesive
for Bosch that is flame-retardant
in accordance with industry standard UL
94 V-0. It is designed for the entire temperature
range of the battery and offers
high strength on battery cells and typical
housing materials. Its tensile shear
strength on aluminum is 18 N/mm². It
has been optimized for manufacturing
processes, is easy to detect through
cameras and allows Bosch to carry out
precise application control.

Banjo Couplings for Fluid
Transfer
Kurt Hydraulics announced banjo
couplings that feature a perforated hollow
bolt with two copper washers and a
spherical union for fluid transfer (sold
separately). These high-pressure couplings
come in three sizes. Banjo couplings
are designed to excel when connecting
fluid lines to rigid lines in brake
systems and other automotive, vehicle
and implement applications. In a hose
assembly, banjo couplings have the advantage
of rotating independently from
the hose fitting.
Connector System for Sensors
in Hydraulic Cylinders
Mass Production with
Aluminum Binder Jetting
Siemens and Ricoh have begun a colTemposonics
announced the new DT
connector system for magnetostrictive
position sensors that allows Temposonics
linear position sensors embedded in
hydraulic cylinders to interface with the
most common connectors from the
Tyco/Deutsch DT and compatible connector
family. This new option builds
upon the Temposonics M12 connector
system that is widely used in mobile hydraulic
applications worldwide. The connector
is integrated into cylinder designs,
requiring only simple round geometries
to be machined.

laboration to create an industrial aluminum
Binder Jetting (BJT) solution for
mass production. Ricoh is leveraging Siemens'
additive manufacturing network to
maximize efficiency of the process and to
achieve the scale required. Ricoh's proprietary
BJT applies the inkjet printing technology
and expertise to enable the production
of metal parts with more complex
shapes that would not be possible with
conventional metal processing methods.
