Scholarships inspire the next generation of engineers

developing the most accurate

intelligent, robust, and
interpretable model to be
utilized for the control for diesel
engines in order to increase
efficiency and reduce harmful
emissions, " wrote AnkobeaAnsah
in his winning scholarship
essay.
That wasn't the only award
he's received in recent years.
Ankobea-Ansah received the
Academic Pyramid of Excellence
award from the National Society
of Black Engineers (NSBE) for
his outstanding academic
record, as well as the Paul
Jennings and Harriet Tubman
awards for outstanding student
service, leadership, and
advocacy.
Majoring in Mechanical and
Aerospace Engineering,
Ankobea-Ansah is a member of
many organizations, including
the National Society of Black
Engineers; the Mechanical,
Materials, and Aerospace
Engineering Diversity, Equity,
and Inclusion committee; and
Formula SAE IIT Motorsports.
Ankobea-Ansah embodies the
spirit of SAE through his intrinsic
curiosity, advocacy, dedication,

and leadership. Through his brilliance and communitydriven
mindset, he is sure to create a better, more
equitable future for us all.
Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship
The Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship provides
financial support for students pursuing an engineering
degree. Don Mozley was a renowned broadcast
journalist who spent 62 years working for CBS Radio
and KCBS/74 in San Francisco. Hired by CBS in 1942,
Don covered such historic events as WWII, the atomic
bomb tests at Bikini, the presidential campaigns of
Nixon and Eisenhower, and the Senate race of Robert
Taft. In addition to news, Don's passion was cars and
he spent much of his career covering automotive
history in his features, " California Driver " and " Don
Mozley's Auto Test. " It is in the spirit of Don's love for
