lectricity is the fuel of tomorrow - a future powered
by battery technology. With
the global electric mobility
market expected to reach
nearly $500 billion by 2025,
battery and power storage needs will be
pushed beyond current limits. Design
teams are being challenged to rethink how
systems work on the ground, in the skies,
and at sea.
Presented by

magazine and SAE International, the online

Battery and Electrification Summit on June
15 and 16, 2021 offers two days of expert
insight, innovation, problem-solving ideas,
and emerging applications for design engineers and managers. Covering evolving
battery advancements and requirements
across the automotive, commercial vehicle,
aerospace, and defense sectors, the Summit
will help you successfully navigate and
succeed in this rapidly evolving market.

EMERGING BATTERY ARCHITECTURES
AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
New battery architectures are emerging
as alternatives to lithium-ion technology.
These include all-solid-state, nanomaterial-based including nano-diamond and
nanowire, salt/sodium, and graphene. Each
has properties and advantages that make
its use preferable for specific applications.
Join us for this panel discussion that
examines some of the new options.

BATTERIES IN SPACE APPLICATIONS
From CubeSats and Mars helicopters to
lunar rovers, batteries of many different
architectures are used for power in harsh
conditions such as high radiation levels and
microgravity. See how we're reaching for
the stars in this opening session of today's
aerospace-focused lineup.

Dr. Ben Waters has been the
CEO of WiBotic since 2015,
when he and Co-Founder
Joshua Smith commercialized
wireless charging solutions they developed
at the University of Washington (UW). NASA
has selected WiBotic - in partnership with
Astrobotic, Bosch, and UW - to develop rapid
wireless charging systems and energy monitoring base stations for robots on the Moon.
