A micro-coaxial cable from Times Microwave, Wallingford, CT, combines fl exibility with low attenuation, making
it well-suited for medical applications that require a balance of optimal power delivery with thermal properties and
durability. Designed with a low-loss construction, the XtendedFlex 045 minimizes thermal dissipation while maximizing
signal integrity and power transfer effi ciency. It features a thin-walled PFA jacket that provides excellent
biocompatibility and chemical resistance. It is constructed of materials that minimize shape memory, which enhances
maneuverability in medical devices such as catheters and endoscopes. It can be used for single-use and reusable
sterilizable applications as a discrete transmission line or integrated into a cable bundle for higher-density solutions.

■ Tubular Solenoids
A series of 1.250-in. diameter tubular solenoids
has been released by Magnetic Sensor
Systems (MSS), Van Nuys, CA. Ideal for strokes
of up to 1.00 in., the S-20-125 series of pull
type tubular solenoids features 18 diff erent
solenoids with 23 to 40 AWG (American Wire
Gauge) windings. The solenoids feature a 1.25 in. diameter × 2.00
in. long housing and a 3/4-18 mounting thread. The noncaptive
plunger, made of low residual magnetic steel for quick release, has a
diameter of 0.437 in. with a clevis end for load attachment. A low friction
brass guide and PTFE coating on the plunger ensures long life.

■ Flow Sensor

has launched updated fl ow sensors and
fl ow measurement technologies to ensure
maximum media-integrity protection. The
BioProTT™ FlowSU System is designed
for single-use biopharma applications. It
eliminates the need for calibration and can be easily integrated into
most standard manifolds while performing fl ow-measurement and
air-in-line detection tasks simultaneously. The sensor's straight-line
fl ow path also produces product transfer with less shear stress to better
protect sensitive fl uids from damage. The SumoFlo® CPFM-8103
Single- Use Coriolis Mass Flow Meter has been updated for upstream,
laboratory, and cell and gene therapy applications. It is now available
with both inlet and outlet ports. A new ¼ in. connection is available.

■ Servo Drives
Aerotech Inc., Pittsburgh, PA, has released two
new servo motor drives that feature integrated
motion controllers designed to command 12 axes
at 20 kHz over the glass optical fi ber HyperWire
motion bus. The Automation1-iXL2e is a compact,
single-axis linear amplifi er servo drive, and
the Automation1-iXC6e is a high-powered PWM
servo motor drive. The iXL2e off ers in-position
stability and small step size operation, and it generates
an extremely low amount of EMI noise. The controllers can
now be set up to use an analog input to control the velocity or current
command of a drive, including velocity feedforward and acceleration
feedforward.

The compact Model MA/MB pumps are easily designed into tight
equipment spaces. The pumps off er maximum fl ow rates to 6 GPM
and maximum pressure to 26 ft of head. Temperature ranges from
-20 to +130° C.

Miniature linear voice coil servo motors

CA. The LVCM-025-029-02 and the LVCM025-029-02M
(metric version) miniature
1-in. (25.4 mm) diameter brushless high
speed linear servo motors feature high forceto-size
ratios, and zero cogging. Clean, quiet,
and effi cient, they feature high accuracy and high repeatability, and
sub-micron resolution when operated in a closed loop as a DC servo
motor. Featuring low inertia and high acceleration/deceleration for
high throughput, these new linear servo motors have a stroke length of
0.313 in. (7.9mm), a high-force-to-size ratio of 37.6 oz. (10.5 N) and a
peak force of 118.9 oz. (33.1N) at 10 percent duty cycle.
