Robot Monitoring Devices
Renishaw, West Dundee, IL, has launched its new RCS product line.
RCS L-90 is a ballbar device that improves robot system accuracy, reduces
deployment time, and monitors robot health. RCS T-90 is a tri-ballbar
system, which enables robot users to identify root causes of poor performance,
with further comprehensive tests to capture critical robot
information. The RCS P-series integrates a permanent Renishaw probing solution within a robot cell
to apply in-process metrology and automatic recovery to automation processes.

Smart Accelerometer
STMicroelectronics, Geneva, Switzerland, has launched three new
accelerometers with advanced processing engines built in to extend
sensor autonomy, enabling systems to respond more quickly to external
events while lowering power consumption. The LIS2DUX12 and
LIS2DUXS12 Leverage ST's third-generation MEMS technology, adding programmable capabilities,
including Machine-learning (MLC), advanced finite state machine (FSM), and enhanced pedometer.
The entry-level LIS2DU12 is available for less demanding applications.

Spectrum Analyzer
Anritsu, Allen, TX, has introduced expanded measurement
functionality for its MS9740B optical spectrum analyzer (OSA)
to meet the need for accurate, repeatable, and efficient testing
of pulsed laser diode (LD) chips. The new solution reduces test
time and produces repeatable measurements when evaluating
LD chips during production, helping speed time-to-market.It accelerates optical spectrum evaluation
by eliminating the need for a trigger signal, which is necessary with alternative solutions.

Flasher Hub
The Flasher Hub-12 from Segger, Monheim-am-Rhein, Germany, controls
up to 12 Flasher Compact devices so that they program simultaneously. Each
channel can be configured to program a different device or a different firmware
image. They are directly connected, without the need for external USB
Hubs, to create a single, powerful gang programmer for efficient parallel programming
at maximum speed. Up to 4 Flasher Hubs can be chained so that
48 Flasher Compacts are connected and controlled via the same admin interfaces.

Hermetically-Sealed LVDTs
Newtek Sensor Solutions, Pennsauken, NJ, has introduced the
HATR Series of Hermetically-Sealed AC-LVDTs, which are temperature,
vibration, and debris tolerant to serve in a variety of inline
position measurement applications in the harsh and often caustic
conditions of pulp and paper mills. For example, the sensors serve in process control systems to provide
dimensional feedback on tensioning arm position and roller location to control paper thickness.

ADAS Radar Compound
SABIC, Houston, TX, has announced the
expansion of its specialty materials portfolio
for advanced driver assistance systems
(ADAS) to further strengthen occupant
and pedestrian safety. The company's two
new LNPTM STAT-KONTM compounds are
well suited for ADAS radar absorbers and
can help propel adoption of millimeter
wave (mmWave) radar, which significantly
improves sensor accuracy and range. They
address a key challenge of mmWave radar
- its increased noise-to-signal ratio, by providing
a high dissipation factor (Df) for
efficient absorption.
