opens blending plant

Red Cross honors

Integrated Bakery Resources (IBR), a division of Cargill, Minneapolis, MN, celebrated the
grand opening of its new blending plant in Arlington, OR. Grand opening festivities were
part of the Gilliam County Wheat Quality Project, which included the Gilliam County
Grains Quality Lab and WI Construction, Inc. Tours of the IBR facility and the quality lab,
as well as food and music, were available for community members at no charge.
"On behalf of Cargill and Integrated Bakery Resources, we are very pleased to be here
in Arlington today for this festive grand opening event," said John Geisler, corporate vicepresident, Cargill. "We couldn't be more proud of our association with Gilliam County
and the people who live and work here," he said. The facility employs 21 people from the
surrounding area and is located near a Interstate 84, allowing access to competitive freight
rates and many back haul opportunities.
"This 50,000-sq-ft mix facility was custom-designed to provide innovative products and
services to our customers," said Pat Shannon, president, IBR. "Our employees here, all from
the local area, help us ship mixed ingredients for breads and baked goods to locations all
over North America. This is a world-class, high-quality facility, thoughtfully designed to be
efficient and economical, so we can keep our costs very competitive," said Shannon. "We're
really excited to be here in Gilliam County."

Wire Belt Co. of America, Londonderry, NH,
was honored by the Red Cross at the Greater
Manchester Red Cross Red and White Ball
on March 25 for its donations to the American Red Cross relief fund.

Delta Systems acquires
Food Machinery Sales
Delta Systems, Inc., Rogers, AK, announced the purchase of Food Machinery Sales, Athens,
GA. FMS develops and manufactures packaging equipment for the food, pharmaceutical
and paper industries. The company specializes in the design, marketing and assembly of
distribution and feeding systems for snack food, cracker and cookie manufacturers.
"The acquisition of FMS strengthens our feeding and distribution product lines and adds
important new customers in the snack food, cookie and cracker segments of the food industry,"
said Jake M. Bushey, president and c.e.o. Delta Systems. "The FMS facility in Athens, GA, will
provide improved service and support to customers in the southeastern United States."

challenged employees to assist Hurricane
Katrina victims: For every dollar they raised,
Wire Belt would donate $2 - contributing
more than $26,000.
Wire Belt also responded to the December 2004 Southeast Asia tsunami by raising
more than $30,000. For every dollar donated
by employees, $3 was donated by Wire Belt.
Employees and sales representatives raised
nearly $7,700.
"Were it not for the help and assistance of
people who generously support the Red Cross,
it would not be able to provide shelter, food,
health and mental health services to those affected by such disasters," said David Greer. "I
am proud that Wire Belt and our employees
are able to help this worthy cause."
In 2005, Wire Belt donated more than
$56,000 to the Red Cross.
