They're definitely in the mood for shopping at IBIE 2016. Baking & Snack's Industry Equipment Trends Survey reflected an uncharacteristically up-tempo tone for 2016, and barring unexpected sour notes in the economy, the beat is projected to continue into 2017. That's the conclusion reached by Cypress Research Associates after crunching the numbers and analyzing the data. The surprising trends even inspired analysts at the research firm to draw from the library of the golden oldies of rock 'n roll when describing manufacturers' outlook for equipment trends in 2016 and beyond. "If we have one major theme for this study, we choose the song 'Good Vibrations' from the Beach Boys because we continue to see general positivity out there," explained Marjorie Hellmer, president of Cypress Research Associates, which conducted the annual industry survey for Baking & Snack.
