Painted Cakes; How to Paint on
Fondant, Mix Colors and Create
Beautiful Hand-Painted Cakes

In this class, students will learn the art of hand
painted cakes. Using Edible Oil Paints, we will
paint a flamingo, a palm leaf, and a monstera
leaf, which will not only teach you the skills to
create these on-trend designs, but give you
the skills to paint on fondant with confidence.
Painting on fondant disks, we will also cover
the basics of design, blending, using stencils,
freehand painting and mixing colors.

Wafer Paper Roses and Leaves

to make a small collage of roses with leaves.
You'll learn how to use wires and veiners with
wafer paper then arrange the collage as a
topper for a cakes.

Students attending class will be learning
Lambeth's basic style design work, with
an added modern twist, by Kathleen.
Students will be taught the importance of
proper division of cakes, foundation and
appropriate ways of applying borders on a
fondant-covered dummy cake along with a
practice sheets. Lambeth is a unique style of
decorating using royal icing. The techniques
taught, will add an elegant flair like no other
to all styles of cakes. Kathleen will continue
to show more advanced techniques, as time
allows and as students progress. This mini
class gives students an introduction of the
techniques used in this intense method.

Cookie Decorating 201- Advanced
Techniques

In this advanced class, students will learn
additional outline and flooding techniques.
The use of fondant in this class shows a fun
way to dress up your designs. Each student
will decorate and take home four cookies. I will
pack this class full of my 35+ years of cookie
decorating knowledge - things that I learned
the hard way - and will keep you entertained
while doing it. (No, I don't juggle or sing) You
will decorate and take home six beautiful
cookies and be able to say " Yes, I made these! "

Quickly Decorated Cookies

only simple designs because they can take
so much time to decorate. Go beyond the
sprinkles and create eye-catching cookies

the bakery all night.

Sculpting the Human Eyes,
Mouth and Nose

Using Sculpting Chocolate, students will
learn the basics of sculpting the human eye,
nose and mouth. We will approach each
feature individually, and students will leave
with three sculpts, one of each feature.
Cake art presently includes a wild array of
possibilities, meaning cake artists need to
have a wider variety of skill sets than ever.
Sculpting human faces can be intimidating,
but in this class we will take it on with simpler,
more approachable methods.

Fondant Holiday Gnomes

Whether it's Spring, Christmas or in between
it's all about the Gnomes this year! We'll be
working with fondant and gum paste in class
to make our cute little gnomes, which are
perfect for cakes and cupcakes. The Gnomes
are all hand molded, so no molds will be used
to make them. In class, I'll also demo how to
make them using Isomalt.
