and services which add value across all food channels for the dairy,
deli, and bakery categories.
is: What work are you excited about that has already begun since
being elected in October?
I am excited to work on continuing growth platforms for IDDBA, setting
the stage for on-going success for IDDBA and the communities and
members that IDDBA serves. This includes working with our Board
and Executive Committee to develop relevant platforms and to be a
change agent in IDDBA's future.
Our Board is also working with internal sub-committees to provide
great direction overall.
I am excited to help our Executive Committee with long-range planning
and succession planning.
What can exhibitors and attendees expect from this year's show in
Anaheim?
We have a very exciting education and speaker venue lined up - just

How has IDDBA helped you in your career?
I initially began working with IDDBA through work on education and
research committees as a volunteer at large. Over time, I raised my hand for
additional responsibilities and learning experiences that have benefited
my in several ways throughout my career and professional development.
I have found cross-functional teamwork and helping give back to the
retail industry with IDDBA to be very rewarding. I eventually accepted
an invitation to serve as a Board member for several years. From there
I became involved at the executive committee level and have served
in various positions including IDDBA Secretary, Vice Chair, Executive
Vice Chair and my current role as Board Chairman.
I have learned from some of the best leaders in our industry. Our
Executive Committee and Board has grown and evolved continually.
From learning how to conduct an executive search where Mike Eardley
became CEO and President of IDDBA to on-going talent investment and
development, the future shines bright for IDDBA.
