Brownback invited to N.G.F.A.
Denver country elevator meeting
WASHINGTON - The National Grain
and Feed Association (N.G.F.A.) will
hold its 33rd annual Country Elevator
Council Conference Dec. 5-7 at the Adams Mark hotel in Denver.
Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas has
been invited to give his perspective on
the outcome of the November elections,
and on the direction of U.S. agriculture,
trade, transportation and foreign policy.
Dr. Michael Cordonnier, president of
Soybean and Corn Advisor Inc., Hinsdale, Ill., will discuss the continued rapid
development of agriculture and infra-

structure in South America and how the
United States can remain competitive.
Peter Nessler, director of renewable
fuels for F.C. Stone, Kansas City, will discuss trends in energy costs and how they
affect agribusiness. He also will address
the influx of investment capital into the
ethanol industry.
Kirk Martin, senior vice-president and
director of business advisory services at
CoBank, Denver, will discuss managing
value in grain and feed enterprises.

SONOMA, CALIF. - The Baking Industry
Z50 Safety and Sanitation Standards audit
is scheduled for May 2005. The American
National Standards Institute performs the
audit every five years.

In its fourth year of publication, the book has
grown from 200 listings in its first year.
