restructuring and other cost
savings initiatives, collectively dubbed "Operation
Overdrive," were announced
last week by ConAgra, Inc.
The plan's details include
restructuring charges of up
to $1.2 billion over the next
three years.
Pillsbury Bakeries and Foodservice will acquire Hazelwood Farms Bakeries from
Supervalu Inc., it was announced May 4 by The Pillsbury Co. and Supervalu.
Concerned that regulatory

snack cakes, the American
Bakers Association has raised

Negotiations have been
completed for the sale of the
Superior Elevator in Buffalo,
N.Y., to Cargill, Inc. The elevator, a 3,000,000-bu structure, was built in 1914.

of Seaboard Allied Milling

Co. The occasion was the fiftieth birthday anniversary of
