Daren Coppock to step down as NAWG c.e.o.
WASHINGTON - Daren Coppock, chief executive officer
of the National Association of Wheat Growers, on Oct. 2
announced his intent to step down from the association at
the end of the year. He will become president and c.e.o. of the
Agricultural Retailers Association (A.R.A.) as of Jan. 1, 2010.
Mr. Coppock joined NAWG in July 2001 after serving
for five years as the executive vice-president of the Oregon
Wheat Growers League. During his 8 years at the NAWG,
the association made significant progress toward the introduction of biotech wheat; helped defend the direct payment
in the 2008 farm bill; and advanced discussions to ease rail
transportation concerns.
In addition, Mr. Coppock helped oversee a renovation of the Wheat Growers Building, a facility the NAWG

Foundation owns on Capitol Hill that houses the NAWG
and four outside tenants.
Mr. Coppock will remain a full-time member of theNAWG staff through the end of October and work halftime at both the NAWG and the A.R.A. until Dec. 31. The
NAWG has initiated a search for a new c.e.o.

Coppock said. "Combining the D.C.-based talent with energetic and able people on our board, officer team and in
our state affiliate organizations makes the wheat industry a
serious presence in Washington. And, much of our progress
has also come from stronger alliances with related organizations, both domestically and in other countries, which are

Tait Lillemoe assumes new risk management role at Horizon Milling
MINNEAPOLIS - Tait Lillemoe has been named a customer risk manager and portfolio marketer at Horizon
Milling L.L.C.
As part of the risk management group at Horizon, the nation's largest flour milling company, Mr. Lillemoe will be a resource for the purchasing and risk management departments
of the company's customers. He will be responsible for matching customers' business risk tolerance and purchasing objectives with financial solutions based on Cargill's "risk management and market competencies," the company said.

financial consultant with Smith Barney/Citigroup, provide an

Mr. Lillemoe spent seven years at Smith Barney before joining Cargill in 2003 as a millfeed merchant responsible for Horizon Milling facilities on the East coast. Most recently he was
a senior millfeed merchant, specializing in price risk management, training and market development for North America.
He graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn.,

Ann Mukherjee to lead Frito-Lay
marketing efforts
PLANO, TEXAS - Ann Mukherjee has been promoted to
senior vice-president and chief marketing officer of Frito-Lay
North America, a unit of Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo, Inc.
Ms. Mukherjee succeeds Jaya Kumar, who was named president of PepsiCo's Quaker Foods and Snacks business unit.
"Ann's work with Doritos' Crash the Super Bowl -
along with a range of ground-breaking marketing for other
F.L.N.A. brands, like Cheetos and Tostitos - has set new
standards for innovation in consumer brand marketing for
our snacks businesses," said Al Carey, president and chief
executive officer of F.L.N.A. "Ann's strong marketing skills
and leadership profile make her the right person for the top
marketing role at Frito-Lay."
Ms. Mukherjee joined F.L.N.A. in 2005 as vice-president
of marketing, leading the company's total core portfolio. In
this role, she led the strategic revitalization of the company's $7 billion core brands - Lay's, Doritos, Tostitos, Cheetos and Fritos. Before joining the F.L.N.A. team in Plano,
Ms. Mukherjee was vice-president of marketing insights
and innovation for PepsiCo's Convenience Foods, based in
Chicago. She previously spent 12 years in a variety of marketing roles with increasing responsibility at other companies, including Kraft Foods Inc. and Diners Club.
She received a bachelor's degree in economics and a
master's degree in finance, both from the University of
