Go Grocery store using checkout-free technology opened.

The first Amazon Fresh grocery store opened
Sept. 17 in Woodland Hills, Calif.

headquarters of Microsoft Corp. The store is not too
far from a high-tech QFC store in Redmond opened
by Microsoft in 2018 in a partnership with Kroger Co.
At the second Amazon Go Grocery, a 7,350-squarefoot store, the company is offering hot foods prepared in a kitchen on site. Selections range from
oatmeal in the morning to hot sandwiches, pizza by
the slice, rotisserie chicken and barbecue ribs.

Also in September, Amazon launched still another concept - Amazon Fresh grocery store. The
first store opened Sept. 17 in Woodland Hills, Calif.,
a neighborhood of Los Angeles.
"Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store designed
from the ground up to offer a seamless grocery
shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in-store or online," the company said in a blog.

"We've taken our decades of operations experience
to deliver consistently low prices for all, and free
same-day delivery and pickup for Prime members."
As an example of the pricing Amazon said customers may expect, the blog listed fresh baked
bread at 89¢, fresh baked pizza slices at $1.79,
rotisserie chickens for $4.97 and paninis and hoagies made in the store each day at $5.99. CP
