Rodney C. Sacks, co-CEO, in an Aug. 3 earnings call. " In the United States,
the company implemented an additional price increase on its 18.6-oz and
24-oz lines effective April 1, 2023. We will continue to review further opportunities
for pricing actions in order to mitigate inflationary pressures. "
DIVING INTO ENERGY, ALCOHOL
Beverage companies expanded in energy drinks and alcoholic drinks.
Keurig Dr Pepper and Nutrabolt in December 2022 announced a partnership
that included a sales and distribution agreement under which
Keurig Dr Pepper will sell and distribute the C4 Energy drink in a majority
of Keurig Dr Pepper's company-owned direct-store distribution territories.
Monster Beverage Corp. in the first half of 2023 launched The Beast
Unleashed, which in August was available in 28 states through a network
of beer distributors, Mr. Sacks said. On July 31 Monster Beverage completed
its acquisition of substantially all the assets of Vital Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. and certain of its affiliates, collectively Bang Energy, for about
$362 million. CP
