Ross Industries Inc. announces the appointment of Randy Collins as regional sales manager for the company’s Southeast territory. Collins will represent the company’s entire line of food processing and tenderizing equipment in the region. Collins worked most recently at Anritsu Industrial Solutions as regional sales manager and prior to that with Industrial Dynamics as vice president of sales and marketing. Collins is based in the Atlanta area. vice president of Midwest operations, distribution & fulfi llment and Chris Arnold as vice president, operations & solutions development. Kathleen Bader, former president and CEO of NatureWorks LLC, has been selected as a new independent director on the Tyson Foods board of directors. Bader also spent more than 30 years with Dow Chemical, holding various management positions in the company’s global and North American operations. In addition to Bader and Chairman John Tyson, other members of the Tyson Foods board of directors are Jim Kever, Kevin McNamara, Robert Thurber, Brad Sauer, Barbara Tyson and Albert Zapanta. Multivac has announced its acquisition of Spain’s Mobepack Sistem S.L., a transaction which substantially expands the company’s market position on the Iberian Peninsula. Mobepack has 6,500 sq. m. of industrial premises with the latest manufacturing technology and currently employs approximately 80 staff members, all of whom will be integrated into the Spanish distribution and service business of Multivac Spain. The Mobepack acquisition has also provided Multivac with distribution authority for Weber slicing technologies on the Iberian Peninsula. Effective Aug. 1, Mepaco will be represented by Sulmaq (Guapore´, RS) in Brazil. Founded in 1971, Sulmaq is a well known, highly respected company that offers complete solutions for slaughter, deboning and further processing throughout Latin America. Scott Seymour has joined Marel as the central territory sales manager in the Fresh Meats Division. He will be responsible for developing new equipment and software sales and for serving Marel fresh meats customers in the central region (Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Michigan, Southern Illinois and Southern Indiana). Seymour has previously worked for Townsend Engineering and Reiser. He will work out of his home office in Lamoni, Iowa. Ashley Peterson, Ph.D., has joined the National Chicken Council staff as vice president of science and technology, succeeding Steve Pretanik, who retired. Previously she served as vice president of government relations for the United Egg Producers (UEP). NCC also announced that Mary Colville has been promoted from director of government relations to vice president of government affairs. Isabel Walls, Ph.D., assumed the presidency of the International Association for Food Protection at the conclusion of IAFP 2011 in Milwaukee, Wis. Walls is the National Program Leader for Epidemiology of Food Safety at the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture in Washington, DC, where she manages competitive grant programs and provides leadership in food safety. In addition to Walls, other members of the executive board include: President-elect, Katherine M.J. Ottens Flavors has named Gary Lane chief executive officer. He has more than 25 years experience in the food, flavor and fragrance industries. he has served as Ottens’ director of international operations and business development. Richard Robinson, who had served as Ottens Flavors’ CEO since 1996, will continue serving as chairman of the board of directors and as an advisor to Lane. ■

Intelligrated announces the appointment of Greg Cronin as executive vice president. Cronin’s appointment dovetails with Intelligrated’s ongoing commitment to provide sophisticated solutions for its customers. Cronin’s initial focus will be to leverage Intelligrated’s software capabilities and to assist in the ongoing development of the company’s software strategy. Intelligrated also named Chuck Harris as
