Bigger and better
Tipper Tie offers systems to
accommodate larger product

ith an oversized video screen depicting snapshots and footage ranging
from farmland landscapes to children at
play, Tipper Tie Inc.’s presence and product focus at IFFA was big and bold. Under
the banner of “Solutions that Work,” Tipper
Tie’s Kendra Bender and her team hustled
to keep up with the constant flow of visitors interested in the company’s latest innovations. One of the company’s newest
offerings on display at the show was its
TN4200 whole muscle packaging system.
The machine draws from the technology
base of the company’s successful TN4001.
The TN4001, said Bender, was designed
for netting over collagen applications. But
processors needed a longer breech, which
is why the TN4200 was designed with a 32inch (812 mm) breech. The new machine
is perfect for processors wanting to transi-

tion from manual packaging to an automated system delivering product quality and
consistency. The larger breech allows the
TN4200 to handle larger and longer whole
muscle products like boneless hams, loins,
steaks, whole muscle deli slices and more.
The servo-powered breech presses large
products and changes their shape to fit
the horn. Compression creates immediate processing benefits producing more
uniform shapes so products cook evenly
and more consistent diameters that minimize slicing yields are produced. In addition, processors will enjoy reduced labor
requirements and cost savings in casing
with the TN4200
With a single operator the TN4200
runs at nearly double the pace of its competitors packaging 6 to 8 pieces per minute. The combination of speed, production

efficiency, low operating costs, and product quality improvement is what makes
Tipper Tie’s TN4200 the best option for
whole muscle packaging.

A rapid clip
Tipper Tie also touted the processor-focused benefits of its automated double
clipper, the SV4800. The SV4800 is the
ideal clipping system for slicer ware and
shaped products. It closes all varieties of
sausage with diameters ranging from 45
mm to 160 mm.
The newly developed and innovative
Shuttle clipping technology allows production speeds up to 120 portions per minute. This new feature uses a large U-clip
at a speed that was previously only used
on flat clip machines. The superior holding
strength of the U-clip, combined with high
speed production, results in exceptional
throughput with larger products.
The SV4800 features efficient operation made easy. Operators can control the
machine via touchscreen, graphic user interface with practical photographs and an
easy menu structure. An integrated monitoring system controls all safety functions
and indicates upcoming maintenance work
as well as incorrect machine status.
The SV4800 is also very maintenance
and service friendly, featuring stainlesssteel surfaces, excellent accessibility of
all areas and inclined horizontal surfaces
which allow fast and efficient cleaning.
