Salmonella intervention
Micreos Food Safety, a developer of phage-based products to combat pathogens in food processing, will present information during the International Production and
Processing Expo (IPPE) about SALMONELEX, a new
phage designed to eradicate Salmonella spp. during the
processing of poultry, pork and beef. Product approval
by the US Dept. of Agriculture is pending. Micreos' chief
scientific officer, Dr. Steven Hagens, will discuss studies
that tested the effect of SALMONELEX on artificially
contaminated pieces of chicken.
