said Horner "felt it was the right time to pursue this
opportunity," which will begin Feb. 1. Ruth Kimmelshue
will succeed Horner, assuming the leadership position with
CMS Jan. 16.
Kimmelshue joined Cargill in 1986 through the
Continental Grain acquisition after working for Continental
for 13 years. She served as president of Cargill Salt and
Cargill AgHorizons. She will remain president of Cargill
Turkey and Cooked Meats, a post she has held since 2013.
Cargill also announced that Todd Hall was named to
the Cargill Leadership Team based on his track record of
building businesses and strong teams of his own. 
"Todd has a consistent track record of growing
Cargill businesses, both organically and through
acquisition," MacLennan said. "He has shown the ability to
build strong teams that focus on what our customers need
to be successful."

HORMEL, CARGILL END JOINT VENTURE
Hormel Foods Corp. and Excel Corp., a subsidiary of
Cargill, have dissolved their partnership in Precept Foods
LLC. The companies formed the joint venture in 2002 to

nationally market branded, case-ready beef and pork under
the Hormel Always Tender brand.
"Effective at the end of fiscal 2014, we dissolved our
Precept Foods partnership by mutual decision with Cargill
Meat Solutions," said Jeffrey Ettinger, president and CEO
of Hormel.
"Sales of $115 million were associated with this
business, but we do not anticipate a material impact to
segment profit as a result of this change," Ettinger added.
"Our relationship has evolved to a co-packing
arrangement instead of a joint venture," Cargill said in a
statement. "It was mutually agreed upon by both companies
that this new arrangement would be best for the long term.
Cargill continues to supply case-ready products to Hormel
Foods and its customers through this new arrangement."
