Direct Depositing and
Tray Indexing Conveyor
is configured to run with
its existing 720 Food
Forming Machine. When
set up with the 720, the
Tray Indexing Conveyor
efficiently portions and deposits patties directly into trays
at speeds of up to 65 trays per minute or even fillings onto
tortillas. Featuring a 300-lb. hopper, the 720 has a variable
speed of 15 to 65 strokes per minute. Its usable mold
plate area is 9-in. wide by 6-in. front to back, with a mold
plate thickness 1/8 in. through 1 ¼ in. Mold plates are
available with single hole or multi-hole depending on the
processor's patty size.

Industrial Test Systems Inc. (ITS)
has released the eXact Strip Micro
Peracetic Acid test strip, which
can detect peracetic acid (PAA) at
concentrations up to 590 parts per
million (ppm) when used in the
525nm eXact Photometers. With
the addition of the new extendedrange peracetic acid test method,
users will be able to quantify concentrations of PAA from
0 to 590 ppm. ITS has employed an entirely new reagent
system in order to achieve this extended range. Peracetic
acid is used as an anti-microbial agent which the FDA
recommends is under 220 ppm for washing meat.

new biological ammonia control product for livestock
operations. BioStat will be a granular formulation utilizing
beneficial bacteria and reducing agents that will convert
ammonia into nontoxic compounds. It offers poultry

flock and providing greater worker protection. BioSafe
Systems says it is committed to providing farming and
food-processing operations with effective and sustainable

The Novipax brand was established on April 1, 2015, when
Sealed Air completed the sale of its North American tray
and absorbent pads business to Atlas Holdings LLC. While
its broad product line will remain intact, Novipax will
shift even more of its focus to customer service and new
product development. As part of the transition, Novipax
is launching a branding initiative and website (www.
