Cereal innovation pours into stores
A bowlful of innovation is joining the ready-to-eat cereal category with these six new
breakfast products.

Magic Spoon

General Mills, Inc. is spicing up its
cereal portfolio with new Cinnamon
Cheerios. Made with cinnamon, the
sweetened whole grain oat cereal
is gluten-free and contains 140
calories, 12 grams of sugar and 3
grams of fiber per 1-cup serving.

The Kellogg Co. is innovating its
Frosted Flakes brand with the
introduction of Tony the Tiger
inspired marshmallows. The
sweetened corn cereal includes
four marshmallow shapes. Each
1.25-cup serving contains 150
calories and 12 grams of sugar.

To celebrate its one-year
anniversary, Magic Spoon is adding
a limited-edition birthday cake flavor
to its line of better-for-you breakfast
cereals. Featuring a frosted vanilla
cake flavor with colorful confetti
sprinkles, the gluten-free offering is
sweetened with allulose, monk fruit
extract and steviol glycosides.

Nature's Path Foods is rolling out
new limited-edition Regenerative
Organic Certified Instant Oatmeal.
The hot cereal is made with whole
grain rolled oats grown on the
company founder's organic farm
and cultivated with methods that
capture more carbon from the
atmosphere.

Smart Baking Co. is expanding its
lineup of Smartmuf'ns with a new
limited-edition apple cinnamon
flavor. Similar to a muffin top and
made from a blend of oat fiber,
corn fiber, and flax, the apple
cinnamon Smartmuf'n is also
infused with elderberry to provide
antioxidants.

Nutsóla is adding a new flavor to
its line of Superfood Mixes: peanut
butter and cacao. Designed to
be a better-for-you alternative to
granola, the grain-free, gluten-free
and non-GMO mix is made with
dates, peanuts, cacao, chia seeds,
coconut, vanilla extract, cinnamon,
sea salt and peanut butter.
