On the savory side, Popcornopolis, which is owned by
Grupo Bimbo, bolstered its Nearly Naked brand with a
White Cheddar and a Jalapeño Lime item with upgraded
packaging the company described as a " new modern look. "
All of its products are touted as low in calories - under 50
calories per cup - although few if any consumers eat only
a cup of popcorn at one time.
Herr Foods offers Mexican Street Corn artificially flavored
Fire Roasted Sweet Corn popcorn that tastes like freshly
grilled corn-on-the-cob seasoned with Mexican spices, lime
and cilantro.
Newcomer D'Amelio Foods joined the popcorn parade
with its first brand, Be Happy Snacks Popcorn, made with
natural ingredients and available in Cotton Candy, Maple
Bacon, Parmesan Garlic and Nice Spice varieties.
