Maxi-Lift launches new website
ADDISON, TEXAS, U.S. — Maxi-Lift, Inc. launched its new website in May with new enhancements. The website (www.maxilift. com) boasts a modern, clean, colorful design that drives users to their speciﬁc bucket and accessory needs, the company said. Maxi-Lift said the launch of the new website, which offers quick and easy access to essential information on elevator buckets, is part of its ongoing effort to enhance the quality and availability of information to customers worldwide. The Maxi-Lift website services two primary languages: English and Spanish. Customers can also download additional information in Mandarin and Russian. The website offers customer testimonials, product reviews, case studies and speciﬁcations to match the right bucket to the right industrial or agricultural facility. If users are not sure, a quick link to their territory manager will deliver the right answer. “Customer service is our top priority. Ease of use is key to our new website,” said Bo Fisher, director of sales for Maxi-Lift, Inc. “Our sales support tools need to match the quality we offer in our products.” Other new functions include a new product billboard, video and photo gallery, technical document support, and social media links.

GSI completes expansion for Pilmico in Philippines
ASSUMPTION, ILLINOIS, U.S. — GSI recently completed a grain storage expansion at Pilmico Foods Corp. ﬂour mill in Kiwalan Cover, Iligan City, Philippines. The expansion included two GSI corrugated silos each with a storage capacity of more than 9,000 tonnes and a 250-kph wind load, two 300-tph GSI chain conveyors, ﬁve 100-tph GSI chain conveyors and one 100-tph bucket elevator. The project started in November 2011 and was completed in May 2012. The 22.86-meter-diameter silos have a storage capacity of 9,105 tonnes per bin, for a total capacity of 18,120 tonnes, and are 30.81 meters tall. GSI has been the preferred supplier of grain silo and handling equipment for Pilmico for the last 12 years. The company is located along the sea, and ocean vessels unload imported wheat through a 300-tph ship unloader onto belt conveyors that go directly to grain silos. With the additional storage capacity, Pilmico will be able to import grain with bigger vessel load at lower import costs, GSI said. During construction, a heavy typhoon hit the area, which is unusual at the location, GSI said. Foundation works were severely hampered and silo erection was delayed and made difﬁcult by continuous rain and wind. “Erecting huge and high silos was a real challenge for the workers,” GSI said. “Still, we delivered the project in time for the arrival of an upcoming ocean vessel load of grain.”
