The Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology
" 2019 Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year " wasn't
sure if college was for him.
B
rian Jackson graduated from Manheim Township High
School, and like many others in his class, immediately
headed off to college. But he quickly realized a four-year
college was not for him.
" I returned home and started working with my dad at our
family business. " That business, Jackson's Window Shoppe, was
established by Jackson's grandfather in 1962. The company
specializes in residential and commercial custom window
treatments.
" Then Joe Wysock, who was my high school football coach,
reached out to me, " explained Jackson. At the time, Wysock was
serving as head coach of the Thaddeus Stevens College Bulldogs
football team.
" We talked about the school and playing football for Stevens.
My love for the game was still there. He was a great mentor and I
trusted him, " says Jackson.
