Academic Seminars
The Academic Center
The Academic Center delivers academic support with experienced staff
who empower student success at Thaddeus Stevens College. Centrally
located on the main campus in the Schuler Learning Resources Center, the
Academic Center provides:
 Space for group and individual study
 Private areas for students to receive learning accommodations and
meet with Academic Coaches and Academic Advisors
 Space for peer tutors to meet with students
 Hospitality area including coffee and a kitchenette
Academic Coaches
Academic Coaches provide direct academic support and work with
students on organization, study methods, tutoring, and more. They also
facilitate study groups, provide testing accommodations, and follow-up
with students on academic probation and those entered in our early alert
system. Academic Advisors maintain office hours to support students.
Tutoring Services
 Professional labs for English and math (adjacent to LRC entrance)
 Peer tutoring in the technical programs
 Online 24/7 tutoring via Tutor.com
Academic Seminars are offered on various
