Championships

Skill Up Fast Metal Casting

The Thaddeus Stevens College Bull Dog Track & Field team
concluded the 2018 outdoor season at the NJCAA DIII National
Track & Field Championships at SUNY - Mohawk Valley
Community College. The Bull Dog Track & Field team of
National Qualifiers:
Gavin Patterson - Welding Freshman: 400m 4th & 200m 7th
Wesley Morgan - Welding Freshman: Hammer Throw 4th; Discus
Throw 4th; & Shot Put 8th
The Bull Dog duo scored 18 points and finished 12th out of 25
nationally ranked NJCAA DIII teams.

While most of our students are enjoying their summer break,
the students in our skill-up fast program are hard at work. These
students are spending several weeks learning their craft. They have
been working on sand molds, metal preparation and melting and
finishing methods. After three weeks they will be in the highdemand field of metal casting. To learn more about our short term

Alex Cauchon '14
Alex Cauchon '14 (MFWT) is working as the weld technician
and programmer for New Standard Corporation's robotic welder
and has recently become a trainer for their robotics program. He
recently received his robotic programming certification from ABB
Robotics in Detroit, Michigan. Way to go, Alex!

Stevens Scramble
The Stevens Scramble Golf outing
was held on Friday, June 15th with
135 golfers filling the course.
