thousands of other students were in that distinguished class
of the "poor and downtrodden" which is the very essence of
why attending Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is a
privilege of pride and not of entitlement for every student.
President Griscom is to be applauded for retaining the valued
and unchanged mission of our institution while advancing
Stevens to a two year associate degree granting college
with 23 majors. Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology
continues to graduate some of Pennsylvania's finest and
highly trained tradesmen and technicians into the skilled
labor force of our Commonwealth. None of this happens
by chance. You need the essential blended components of
vision, hard work, perseverance and adequate funding to
achieve the benchmarks of success. All of which President
Griscom has put forth in leading Thaddeus Stevens College
of Technology to receive national recognition for our
unprecedented accomplishments.
In closing I kindly appeal to you as an alumni, friend or as
an existing partner to give thought to just how you would

Greiner Campus
On Schedule For
2018 Debut
T

haddeus Stevens is poised for the most significant expansion
in its 112-year history. The College and the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania are on schedule to open the Greiner Campus for
Advanced Manufacturing in the fall of 2018.
The college celebrated a formal groundbreaking on October 2 with
nearly 100 students, faculty, staff, and other invited guests.
The $20 million expansion will benefit programs in machine tool
and computer-aided manufacturing, metals fabrication and welding,
and heating, ventilation, air condition and refrigeration (HVAC-R)
programs.
