Graduate Employment Surveys
F
or the past 8 years, the Career Services office has been disseminating Graduate
Employment Surveys to specific graduating classes via personal email, social
media (direct messaging), text messaging, and direct phone calls to gather important
employment/salary data from our graduates. This summer (2021), the following Grad
Surveys were completed:
Annual Grad Survey (1 year after graduation) - Class of 2020
Five-Year-Out Grad Survey (5 years after the completion of the Annual Grad Survey)
- Class of 2015 (we now have 5-years of 5-year-out graduate employment data (see
results below).

housed within this system for ALL
students AND Alumni to access.

Employment Surveys are as follows

represent the Annual Grad Survey for
the class of 2020:
Response Rate: 76% of the class
of 2020 responded to the survey
Eleven programs had a response
rate of over 80%
In-field Placement Rate: 93.9% are
either employed full-time directly
in their field of study OR
continuing their education on a
full-time basis.
Total Placement Rate: 96.8% are
either employed full-time (in or
out of field) OR continuing their
education on a full-time basis.
Median Annual Starting Base
Salary: $42,500 ($20.43/hour)
Nine program majors had Median
Annual Base Salaries over
$45,000
Overtime: 62% of graduates
working directly in-field reported
working an average of 8-10 hours
of overtime per week adding an
additional $15,000+ annually to
their salaries.
Internships: 60.9% of the class of
2020 completed an In-Field
Internship while attending TSCT
(most during the summer of
2020)
COVID-19 impact: the number of
students interning decreased by
more than 20% since 2019 due to
COVID-19 (impacted class of
2020 and 2021)
Overall graduate program
satisfaction: 4 (GOOD) on a
scale of 1-5
Roadblocks: 18% indicated they
had Roadblocks to gaining
employment including: COVID-19
(this was the class that graduated
just 2 months after the college
shut down), Lack of
Transportation/License, Finances,
felt unprepared
Student Loan Debt: 58% indicated
they had Student Loans averaging
$10,341; 92% with loans indicated
they had already paid off their
loan or would have it paid off
within 5 years.
Registered Voter: 87% indicated
they were Registered Voters
Employer Recruitment: 1,300
Companies intentionally recruited
450 TSCT Graduates to fill more
than 5,700 Jobs for the class of
2020: 12+ jobs/grad
Note: the number of jobs posted
