Alex Munro '60
A
lex Munro '60, was honored at a retirement
dinner hosted by the Thaddeus Stevens
Alumni Association on July 22, 2021, at the
Fireside Tavern in Strasburg. John Yurchak, Jr.
'60 of Yurchak Printing, and Joe Wysock '06,
President of the Alumni Association, presented
Alex and his wife, Judy, with a portrait that will
be displayed in the Alumni House boardroom.
Peter Cassarly '08
P
eter Cassarly '08 (Carpentry) recently visited
campus. After graduating from Stevens, he
earned a Bachelor's degree in Construction
Management from Penn College and a Master's
degree in Organizational Management from
Robert Morris College. Pete is currently
employed by Contract Hardware & Supply, the
company that provided doors and hardware
installation at the Greiner Manufacturing Center.
Pete was featured on the cover of our Fall
2012 issue of the Tower while deployed in
Afghanistan as a combat engineer with the US
Army. The Alumni office sent him a Thaddeus
Stevens banner, which he flew from his outpost
during " Operation Enduring Freedom " and
is now framed and displayed in the MAC on
campus.
Pete and his wife, Maria, live in Altoona with
their two children; Trevor (7) and Ethan (2).
