fter giving so much of
myself to return to college
and complete my degree, I
now have the opportunity to
spend time with my son until
I am ready to take one of
the job opportunities which
were offered to me. From
this experience I have learned
never to be afraid to ask for
help and to make sure that
what you drop can bounce
back into your grasp.

y time at Thaddeus
Stevens College of
Technology has prepared
me with a lifetime of skills
and experiences. The college
prepared me to go out and get
a job in the industry before I
even graduated. I was hired
at a large Ford dealership in
my town a few months ago,
and my boss was already
mentioning a raise after my
first week of work. As a firstgeneration
college student,
I am beyond grateful that I
chose this college. I genuinely
could not have asked for a
better experience.

am honored to be selected
to speak and share my story
today. The road to this day, this
moment has not been an easy
one, and I'm sure many of you
can relate to the challenges that
we've had to overcome in the
process. I want to take this time
to commend everyone for your
dedication and perseverance
while navigating through this
COVID environment. Here
at Stevens, I found a career
that I am passionate about
and gained an opportunity to
live my life better than I once
had, ensuring my family doesn't
struggle as I once did.
